Innovation in Packaging Exhibition Self-Adhesive Label specialist Berkshire Labels Introduce the Stab Seal ™ & BioTak the Next Generation in Innovative Labels Products Leading self-adhesive label manufacturer Berkshire Labels will be exhibiting their new unique Stab Seal™ and BioTak products at the Packaging Innovations Exhibition at the NEC Birmingham. After years of research and development Berkshire Labels have successfully launched the next generation in security labelling the Stab Seal™. This patent pending technology uses the very latest developments to provide a permanent seal that has been engineered to perform on almost any surface. The unique Stab Seal™ cleanly leaves a tamper evident message behind showing that the product has been opened or tampered with. This exceptionally clean message is encapsulated into the product to prohibit it from being removed. One of the Stab Seal’s™ unique selling points is the fact that the seal starts working straight away, giving tamper evidence in minutes not hours like other self-adhesive security products. Steve Turner, Business Development Manager, comments in today’s security conscious climate, customers want tamper evident security of their products as soon as they enter the supply chain. Another innovation from the company is the BioTak product, which is the first completely biodegradable label to incorporate a biodegradable adhesive and face paper. Other types of BioTak face materials are being developed and will be available in the near future. The BioTak product will shortly have the European standard – EN13432, which relates to biodegradable materials. This innovative product is both home and industrial compostable, which makes it even more appealing from an environmentally friendly and consumer packaging point of view.
